Via Ripamonti
Master plan 400.000 mc. (with archh. D. Costantino, Boatti and ing. G. Villoresi)

1980

The area is located to the west of v. Ripamonti, towards the countryside, and borders with the Vaiano Valle park and the Chiaravalle area. The area of 400,000 m2 was allocated by the Local Strategic Plan to Social and Convention-Related Building. The town planning project consists of three large spatial containers defined by some critics as “superquadras”. They measure 90 metres on the inner side with heights sloping down towards the city (to the north). The central area - intended for greenery and primary services - is crossed by the service road that joins with mixtilinear development on the existing road network and "cuts" the buildings on the northern and southern sides. In this way, the sun appears even in winter from these multiple dividing lines.
